Stay-At-Home Daycare

What is it?

This is our dog walking service. Around here we believe that dogs deserve more than just a walk. Our visits include a range of activities from essential care, walks, puzzle games, training and lots of play. We provide bespoke one to one care.

This service covers;

Cobh, Carrigtwohill, Glounthaune, Glanmire, Midleton, Douglas, Blackrock and their surrounding areas.

What type of dogs do we work with?

We work with all types of dogs, from all different backgrounds. If your goal is to have a trustworthy professional dog walker with knowledge of canine behaviour, and understanding of how to reduce stress and promote feeling safe, to keep your dog company and go for a walk while your at work then thats the type of dog we work with.

How do the visits work?

We come to your dog, so they get to stay in the comfort of their own home. Whether you work from home or the office, our focus is on providing the best care for your dog. We will collect your dog from the agreed upon room away from the front door, this will be the room they will be returned to. We greet them in a manner that is best suited to your dog, some dogs are more enthusiastic greeters than others.

The rest of the visit is structured on yours and your dogs preferences, we can let them out to the loo and for a little run around the garden before taking them out on their walk. we bring various things with us eg. snuffle mats, puzzles, tugs, kongs, etc. that we may use.

We incorporate things like loose lead, choosing the person on the other end of the lead, coming to their name etc into our visits as it helps set dogs up to know what to do when out on walks. If there is something specific you would like them to work on, it can be discussed during our meet and greet session.

We send regular updates and pictures so you can follow along on your dogs adventures with us.

How can this service help you?

  • Breaking up your dogs days, and reducing the amount of time left alone , providing company and outlets for natural behaviour can help reduce behaviours associated with frustration and boredom e.g. excessive barking, over the top greeters, barking at people and other dogs when out on walks, unable to settle in the evening, nuisance or attention seeking behaviour, etc.

  • Learning new skills and polishing old ones to use in various scenarios can help your dog succeed in offering more desirable behaviour when out on walks or around the house.

  • Can provide support for dogs whose behaviours maybe problematic for their owners by tailoring our visits to meet their behavioural needs

  • Provides peace of mind that your dog is looked after by a trusted professional

  • You come home to a dog who is better able to settle and enjoy a peaceful evening with you.

  • Establish expectations and preferences

If your dog takes a while to warm up to new people, no problem, I can do multiple sessions before our one to one sessions with them.
